In the early 1990s the band's music was rediscovered by British club deejays in the emerging acid jazz underground. The renewed interest led to the reissue of Funk Inc.'s previous Prestige releases and to the setting up of a new band by original organist and founder Bobby Watley in the mid-1990s.
