- Eddy Brown was born in Chicago who traveled to Budapest as a young child to study classical violin. Brown engaged in concert performances, composing and recording. His pioneering work in radio broadcasting began with his appointment as musical director of station WOR in New York City in 1930. He was also active in music education.
