The band's five principal members are: Bill Johnson, who plays several instruments in addition to banjo; his spouse and bass player Jane Johnson; Dobro player and tenor Dan Pence; mandolin player Pat Soister; and guitarist and lead singer Walt Johnson. Their music features traditional bluegrass, gospel tunes, and unique arrangements of traditional and original songs.
