- Label, aka. Angel Records, registered as a trademark by EMI predecessor The Gramophone Co. Ltd. in 1898 and as per 1909 partly integrated in His Master's Voice. As of 1953 also used in North America by The Electric & Musical Industries (U.S.) Ltd., the local EMI branch, which in 1955 turned Angel into a sublabel of Capitol Records. Due to mergers and the sale of EMI, Angel these days is a part of the Blue Note Label Group.
