Nine million bicycles

When I first heard Katie Melua's "Nine Million Bicycles" I swore I new the song already: a deja vu!! But searching the internet for the original turned up nothing. This site doesn't mention it either. Am I mistaken and is it an original song, or has it been done before? Thanks in advance!
