The Doors

Under the songs that the Doors have covered, you can find "Close to You" and "Back Door Man". They did indeed cover these songs, but they were both written by Willie Dixon. It says on the site that "Back Door Man" was originally by Howlin' Wolf. It's true that Howlin' Wolf's band was the first to record "Back Door Man", but his bassist Willie Dixon is the one who wrote it. That may not even be an error, but the credit for "Close to You" definitely is, because it says that the song was originally by Muddy Waters. Again, maybe he was the first to record it (I'm becoming more and more convinced that this is the case, because I can't find a recording of the song by Howlin' Wolf or Willie Dixon), but Willie Dixon is the one who wrote it.
