Recorded by The Beatles at their Decca audition, with Pete Best on drums.
Brian Epstein added this recording together with one of "'Till There Was You" from the same session to a 78 rpm acetate demo disc that he had cut in the Personal Recording Department of the HMV record store on Oxford Street in London. He presented the disc to George Martin of EMI when they met for the first time on February 13th 1962.
Although most of the Decca audition tracks have been available for many years (for example, on The Complete Silver Beatles), the three Lennon-McCartney originals were held back, and this track was first released on Anthology 1. - Rating
