Comments:Original title: "Honky Tonk Mind". Tommy Blake was going to record this but offered it to Johnny Horton first, who recorded it April 11th,1957. Tommy Blake recorded it 4 days later.
Johnny Horton hurried to release his version (April 22nd,1957) but changed the title to "The Woman I Need". The song was credited to Tillman Franks (Hortons manager) and Lee Emerson. Tommy Blake invoked a lawsuit to the credits which he won.
