On the CD "NWOBHM Revisited:The Very Best Of Dragster 79-83",you can find their Gary Glitter-cover I Didn't Know I Loved You (Till I Saw You Rock and Roll) It's track 17 on the CD.
The CD was released in 1999 on CDMETAL 17 (Cherry Red).
The song must have been recorded in the early 80's but I couldn't find any early recordings, except the 7"-single "Ambitions". So we might take this CD as first release.
Dragster were a heavy metal-band from West Yorkshire and this were the band-members :
- Derick Pickles:vocals
- Mike Stansfield:bass
- Andy Trafford:guitar
- Steve "Fanta" Grant:drums
On the same CD,you can also find covers of "Action"(The Sweet)/"Hellraiser"(The Sweet)/"Hot Legs"(Rod Stewart)
