Pan's People covered "The Singer Not The Song",originally by The Rolling Stones,on the B-side of their 7"-single "You Can Really Rock And Roll Me" (written by Mike Batt).


The record was released in 1974 on EPIC S EPC 2606.

Pan's People were the dance-group from Top Of The Pops.

Lead-singer on the record was Cherry Gillespie.

The other girls in the group were Babs Lord/Dee Dee Wilde/Ruth Pearson/Louise Clark/.

The song was written by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards.


It was the B-side of the single "Get Off Of My Cloud",released in October 1965 on Decca F12263.


It was recorded on 6/7 September 1965.


The song was also put on the American released LP " December's Children",released in 1965 and produced by Andrew Loog Oldham.:
