1. Created a new artist "Dead End Kids [1]" for the UK band, and transferred my song/medium to it. Canary, can you transfer yours to this new artist as well?
2. See thread http://www.secondhandsongs.com/forum/index.php?topic=27280. "Have I the Right" by the UK Dead End Kids was a No. 6 hit single in the UK. It can be said therefore that they are more famous than the other Dead End Kids. So, according to the guidelines, the UK band should be "Dead End Kids" and the Ramones-tribute band should be "Dead End Kids [1]".
3. More info about the Ramones tribute album: http://kauhajokinyt.fi/~jplaitio/levykans/deadtri.html. Note:
a. Release date is October 2001 (what looks like a contemporary message at http://www.punknews.org/day/2001/10/10 apparently confirms this)
b. Label is Trend is Dead!, not Trent is Dead!
(The collection "Ramones Mania" mentioned at kauhajokinyt.fi is a Ramones compilation http://www.geocities.com/SunsetStrip/Backstage/2916/ramones/songs/1mania.html, http://ivo.ingwie.de/discography.html#Mania, so no need to worry about previous releases of the songs on "Ramones Maniacs".)
4. According to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ramones_Maniacs, the tribute album includes one Australian band and one Canadian band. Could Dead End Kids be the Canadian band, and therefore the same one whose MySpace page you found?
Unfortunately Trend is Dead!'s website (members.aol.com/trendydead/tid008.html) is dead so we can't get any info from them. The archive of that page at http://web.archive.org/web/20040807191816/http://members.aol.com/trendydead/tid0... appears to be the source of wikipedia's information, so we can be fairly sure the "one Australian band and one Canadian band" is correct.
