History
Was it first released on the single or first on the album?
according to the Bristol Evening Post, dated September 16, 2003, "Build Me Up Buttercup" was released as a double sided single with Busted's "Crash the Wedding" on the flipside. Busted lists McFly as the backing group.
Tom Fletcher of McFly originally auditioned for Busted but was rejected, However, he continued to collaborate with them and as a result, "Build Me Up Buttercup" was released as the "B" side to the Busted single "Crash the Wedding".
McFly then toured the UK with Busted before hitting it big and going out on their own.

I'm not sure what you mean? My question was, what was released first: the single "Crash the Wedding" or the album "A Present for Everyone"?
"Crash the Wedding" was the lead single released from |A Present for Everyone", so I guess it was album first, then single.
"Who's David?" and "Air Hostess" were the second and third singles released from "A Present for Everyone".
"Crash the Wedding" was the lead single released from |A Present for Everyone", so I guess it was album first, then single.
Hmmmm, can you do better than this?
Definitive statement... A Present for You is the Album, Crash the Wedding was released from the album as a single backed on the B-side by a recording of Build Me Up Buttercup by McFly.
Is that what you want?
Once again I query, what more info do you need?
Bastien, I don't think the album release is relevant here... If I read well, the Foundations cover was only released on single "Crashed the Wedding".
Emswife, do you have release info for this single? (label, catalog number, and date)
