Apologioes for the obscurity, but it is all I know....
The film clip featured mods (i.e. guys with hair combed up and forward on both sides, brought together in the middle of the forehead) on motorbikes (perhaps mopeds)riding through an abandoned industrial estate...I got the impression it was a British band in the early 1990s...
Why do I think it was a cover?... because in the credits to a movie i saw years later (I can't remember what because i didn't have a pen and paper handy and I walked in whilst the credits were already going)) there was a song that instantly reminded me of this song, and it sounded like a Dusty Springfield or some other female British singer of the 1960s, early 1970s....
I am not confident but I think the word 'America' featured in the chorus...
Any suggestions much appreciated.
