... the first recording ... March 18, 1940 ....
but we don't know the release dates ...
The Bob Crosby' recording was issued on Decca 3154
The Tony Martin' recording was issued on Decca 3119
Apparently, Decca 3119 is previous to Decca 3154 ...
What is your opinion, Denis?
Bob Crosby recorded it first, but Tony Martin released it first is what I think. Check http://settlet.fateback.com/Dec3000.htm

As we are on the subject of "Fools Rush In" I thought I would share something I picked up by a coincidence today:
In 1962 r&b singer Etta James cut a version and it came out as the B-side of ARGO 5424 (Added in the meantime). Argo was part of the Chess group in Chicago and later changed name to Cadet. Etta's version preceeded Rick Nelson's version (Added in the meantime), which was a fairly big hit in 1963.

Added the Louis Armstrong cover.
Fools Rush In (Where Angels Fear to Tread)
Of the versions cited, I do not know if there will be any version to be added...

Dany, I'm assuming you want me to close the topic as all covers were added....
