Aleda, van...

He was a song(co)writer. An artist he worked with was Belgian singer Will Tura.

Hi Paul,

I was just wondering if there wasn't a first name missing. The same for "Van Ranst", another songwriter who worked with Will Tura. I already mailed Jean Kluger about this, but I got a reply that "Van Ranst" is his full name.

Strange, since "Van Ranst" is a common surname in Belgium, and I never heard about someone called "Van".

The reason why I'm desperatly seeking for full names, is that we can only add authors to the database if we know their real names.

I do not know...

But it is strange...

Are you sure Van Aleda = Louis Baret? I checked the above 3 sources and none mention Van Aleda.

"Van Aleda" is NOT Louis Baret. The info on Baret (aka Lams) seems correct, but since we don't have any song of him in the database (and he wrote 2000 plus), my suggestion is to delete all this.

"Van Aleda" is a pseudonym for the Kluger family: Jacques and his two sons Jean and Roland. The only problem is to attach the exact Kluger to the right songs.

These sources seem to confirm that Jacques, Jean and Roland Kluger used the alias Smile

Done; have a look. I left the Van Aleda entry until we've succeeded in linking the exact Kluger to the right songs Smile

No, we need to continue to clean the list. I just did 3 entries, so we're down 37 (again).

I am afraid I do not quite understand what you mean? I would say that the Van Aleda discussion has been dealt with and that this error can be closed down................

All Van Aleda entries need to be reattributed to one of the three Klugers.

And we're down to 34.

Why did you not say so in the first place: I will check my own Van Aleda entries and correct them if possible..............

I have corrected a few of my Van Aleda entries, but it is a lot more difficult than I thought. Also because BUMA-STEMRA often does not have the work at all........... Or do you have other sources, where I could look? I really would like to help you out!

Thom
