a well lived life

Imagine say james dean, john lennon, or JFK had managed to live there lives out. Looking back what would we say would be a soundtrack to their life? My Way and Impossible Dream are relevant but applied to almost all living legends. These two are good references because they build to tell a story. This is my first posting, if i'm out of line asking this please let someone let me know. Any help would be greatly appreciated though.
