Hello Bastien,

This is my first post here and I know a lot of French covers from the 60's, 70's and even 80's British and UK hits.

"Oh Pretty Woman" has been covered by the French artist Sylvie Vartan in the early 60's "L'homme en noir" and it was a hit here. Added in the meantime

I found only 3 Sylvie Vartan's covers in the database but she covered more than 100 UK and US hits such as:

"Rhythm in the Rain" (Cascades), "Bye Bye Leroy Brown", "Pata pata" (Maryam Makeba", "Tell Mama" (Gene Vincent)... and too many others...

Proofs of all those covers are quite easy to find on the net (auction websites for covers for example...)

Here is her official website link in "Covers" page !

Have fun by adding lots of songs Grin

Hello Pc-music,

The cover on the Sylvie Vartan site is a cover of O, Pretty Woman originally by Roy Orbison.

The submissions I listed are originally by Albert King. It's a completely different song but it has the same title.

The Sylvie Vartan site has a nice list of covers though.

Greets,

Filip

Thanks for the Howlers link. Did you also find a sound sample where when can doublecheck this? Or a scan of the CD where we can see the credits?
