1, 2 and 4 are instrumentals: Araken Peixoto played the pistom (cornet), Cipó was an orchestra leader and Moacyr Marques 'Bijú' was a saxophonist.

Dolores Duran was a singer and songwriter, performing this song in english.


Another Brazilian version is by Luiz Cláudio, singing also in english.

On MY FUNNY VALENTINE Araken plays the piston (cornet) and Moacir plays the piano. Andyara and Cauby are singers, but don't appear on this song. Since Cauby Peixoto was by far the most successful of the four, most searches lead to websites about him.

IMMUB generally lists the names of artists as written on the cover: Cauby Peixoto, Moacyr Peixoto, Araken Peixoto e Andyara Peixoto. [As you can see in comparing the title with the line Artista(s)]


Unfortunately, my copy of the back cover got lost in a PC crash, and it seems currently unavailable. I asked Augusto TM from Toque Musical if he wether could send me a copy of the back cover or at least confirm the order of names as stated on the back cover. Augusto TM, who runs a very reliable website , offered the album including the covers but the link is invalid now: (http://novotoquemusical.blogspot.de/2008/10/quando-os-peixotos-se-encontram-caub...).

Unfortunately, on the back cover I can't read the performers of the single songs, so I followed memoriamusical. Hopefully we'll get a better scan sooner or later.


Since "Moacir toca piano" I can assume Love Is A Many Splendored Thing and Only You are instrumentals as well, while Cauby sings on A Foggy Day, right?

Yes, Augusto TM replied quicker than expected. The scan he sent is a perfect 1174x1170px/900KB size but the SHS website told me the upload size for pictures is limited to 200 KB max, so I had to reduce it to 447x445px/192KB.


Yes, you are assuming right: LOVE IS A MANY SPLENDORED THING and ONLY YOU are instrumental renditions with Moacir on piano, and A FOGGY DAY features vocals in English by Cauby.
