The Dynamic Superiors

Not quite sure how to split these apart without deleting and re-adding, so figured I'd just report it for now (also didn't want to step on anyone's toes by making this 'big' a change to someone else's entry), but best as I can tell, Dynamic Superiors and Superiors - though both recorded on Motown - are completely separate groups.

I have some CD reissues of Dynamic Superiors, which detail the group's history - and it sounds like the group essentially broke up in the early '80s following the death of their lead singer. They were a DC based group, produced by a lot of Motown house producers.

Separately, reading through the comments on the video posting for 'Step by Step' by The Superiors and doing some further googling (http://lockerroomzredcarpetetc.blogspot.com/2012/03/r-male-vocal-group-ambient-b...) shows that this group, now known as Ambient, is a Boston-based group that didn't start until the mid-80s. The members are completely different. It would make sense that this Boston based group did the original of a Step By Step song, and were produced by Maurice Starr - both fellow Boston acts.

I did see one website that linked the groups together, but in this case, I'm pretty sure they were incorrect.

Based on your research and after checking what I could including music, I'm convinced. The artists have been separated, with The Superiors here: The Superiors

As for my stuff, go ahead and correct what needs correcting. If it will take an effort to unravel things, go ahead and pass it over.
