Let me share the results of my research so far.
The original is most probably an Italian song called Grazie. Have a look at the image of the back of the Rafael album.
I'm having trouble to pin down the original Italian artist.
According to the Italian copyrights site (SIAE; see attached);
Composers: Franco Bracardi , Gianni Boncompagni and Anna Rita Della Rosa
Lyrics: Cristiano Malgioglio
According to the Spanish copyrights site (SGAE; see attachment) the Spanish cover has the following credits;
Composers: only Bracardi and Boncompagni are credited.
Spanish lyrics: Ignacio Ballesteros Diaz (Ignacio Ballesteros) and José Manuel Vidal Zapater (under the alias J.M. Pater)
Now the question remains: Who did the Italian original ?! Thanks for any feedback !
