The group LaBelle recorded several covers on their first LPs in the early '70s, as follows.


The 1971 Warner Bros. release entitled "LaBelle" includes:


1. "You've Got A Friend", written by Carole King and already in the database (but not by LaBelle)

2. "Time And Love", written by Laura Nyro and already in the database

3. Medley of "Running Out Of Fools & If You Gotta Make A Fool Of Somebody", wrtiten by K. Rogers & R. Ahlert, and R. Clark, respectively. Both are in the database already.

4. "Heart Be Still", written by Bert Berns & Jerry Ragovoy. This song, not in the database already, had been previously recorded by Lorraine Ellison on Loma Records in 1967.

5. "Wild Horses", written by Keith Richards & Mick Jagger - song already in database

6. "When the Sun Comes Shining Through (The Ladder)" - written by Mike D'Abo, and recorded on his 1970 Uni LP entitled "D'Abo" (Details at www.mikedabo.com).

7. "Morning Much Better", written by Michael Zager and Aram Schefrin, was previously recorded by Ten Wheel Drive with Genya Ravan on their 1970 Polydor record "Brief Replies".


The 1972 LaBelle release entitled "Moon Shadow" on Warner Bros. includes:


1. "Won't Get Fooled Again" written by Pete Townsend and recorded by The Who, song already in database

2. "Moon Shadow" written by Cat Stevens, song already in database.
