Barney McKenna, original member of the Dubliners, died on April 5, 2012. RIP. Date of Birth: December 16, 1939


According to the New York Times he was the last of the original members of the Dubliners. Maybe the other missing original members of the band should be listed as well:


Ciáran Bourke (18 February 1935 - 10 May 1988)

Luke Kelly (17 November 1940 - 30 January 1984)

Ronnie Drew (16 September 1934 – 16 August 2008); is listed, but RIP-date is still missing

McKenna, Bourke, Kelly: they're not in the database; an artist can be added only if he wrote/performed a song under his name. Well, I guess they did write/perform some songs, but we don't have them now in the database.


Ronnie Drew: was updated in October 2008.
