Musical comedy based on the 1930 Broadway play "Up Pops the Devil" by Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett starring Harriette Lake as Ann Cathway, Ann Pennington as Louella Carroll, Oscar Shaw as Steve Merrick, Jack Sheehan as Biny Hatfield and Frances Williams as Polly Bascom.
While Sammy Fain and Irving Kahal were the primary songwriters, several of the musical's songs were written by others including "As Time Goes By". The musical's Broadway opening was in October 1931 at the Shubert Theatre on Broadway.
