An American folk opera in three acts, starring Todd Duncan as "Porgy" and Anne Wiggins Brown as "Bess". First performed at the Colonial Theatre in Boston. Opened on Broadway on October 10, 1935 at the Alvin Theatre where it ran for 124 performances.
