Kid Ory was playing in Louis Armstrong's Hot Five when this tune was composed, and Armstrong has claimed that he actually wrote the song and just gave composing credit to Ory. Sidney Bechet and others assert that it is actually a tune composed some years prior to 1926 by Buddy Bolden under a different title.
