Comments: Record label, these days owned by the JVC (now JVC Kenwood) Corporation. Launched in 1901 by US Victor Talking Machine Company, who opened a Japanese branch in 1927, the label has since been run by four different companies:
1927 - 1972: Victor Company of Japan (aka The Victor Talking Machine Company of Japan, JVC, Nivico);
1972 - 1993: Victor Musical Industries (a JVC subsidiary);
1993 - 2014: Victor Entertainment (born form the merging of Victor Musical Industries and Nihon AVC);
Since 2014: JVC Kenwood Victor Entertainment Corporation.
